CUBAO BRANCH

Synonymous with Cubao is Araneta Coliseum, often called the “Big Dome.” Opening in March 16, 1960, three years after its construction, the Araneta Coliseum was considered as the biggest covered coliseum with one of the largest clear-span domes in the world, a dome diameter of 108 meters and a seating capacity of 25,000. In 2011, the arena was renamed Smart Araneta Coliseum after a co-branding deal between the Araneta family and Smart Communications.

Through the past decades and until the present, the Big Dome became a magnet drawing in mammoth chains of Araneta Center’s landmark establishments, premier malls, department stores, retail centers, schools, hotels, condominiums, bus terminals, residential properties. All cashed in and rode on the surge of Cubao’s waves of progress.

CareHealth Plus seized the opportunity to open its branch office in the heart of Araneta Center. CareHealth Plus-Cubao holds office at the 2nd Floor, Rooms 200 & 202, Doña Consolacion Building, General Santos Avenue, Barangay Socorro, Araneta Center with office landline (02) 8289 6061.

The branch is handled by a team of dynamic Registered Nurses – Branch Manager Marites Roque with Karol Apple Sumang as Assistant Branch Manager and Care & Operations Assistants, Janice Amongo. Operations of the branch are directly supervised by Assistant Vice President Dindo Mollo, Jr., Division Head. All activities of the branch are managed by its Marketing Group Head, Magi M. Martinez, Vice President.

Since it opened, CareHealth Plus-Cubao has presently become a beehive of sales activities ensuring the efficient realization of its goal to be recognized as one of upcoming topnotch sales organizations of the company. Behind it all is a sizeable number of Sales Agency Managers, Sales Group Managers and Sales Counselors who continue to fully support their branch with dedication and commitment.

Trivia:

From Filipino Know.net, we come to know about the legendary origin of Cubao’s present name: “Cubao was once a jungle inhabited by white ants, termites, and shape-shifting witches who usually took the form of a hunchback. People who came across these witches would often say, “Kuba, o.” (Look, a hunchback!); hence, the present name.”

From Sports news: The Smart Araneta Coliseum will be one of selected venues for some matches in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

In the past years, two of the most celebrated boxing events that the Araneta Coliseum hosted were the 1960 Elorde-Gomes World Junior Lightweight Fight that saw Flash Elorde taking the title away from Harold Gomes and in 1975 the Ali-Frazier World Heavyweight Fight dubbed as the “Thrilla in Manila,” which Muhammad Ali won.
