Digos is a 2nd class city and it is the known capital of the province of Davao del Sur. Dubbed as the Gate City of the South, Digos lies at the crossroads between Davao City and the wide expanse of the southern and western provinces of the SOCCSKSARGEN (SOuth Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, SARangani, GENeral Santos) region.

As part of Metropolitan Davao, Digos City retains an urban atmosphere of commercial activities amid its acknowledged agricultural setting. The city’s natural simplicity provided an opportunity for CareHealth Plus to explore.

CareHealth Plus – Digos was thus set up at Door 4, 2nd Floor, JRE Building, Magsaysay Street, Digos City with email address digosbranch@carehealthplus.com. Vivian Gallarde, Assistant Branch Manager, has her hands full exploring the wide opportunities in the city for building an effective team of Sales Agency Managers, Sales Group Managers and Sales Counselors reaching out to the city’s health-conscious population.

Giving her fullest support is the branch’s Care & Operations Assistant Alfa Monica De La Cruz, RN. COA Alfa Monica also attends to smooth working relationships with the various hospitals and clinics which abound in the city for the medical needs of Digoseños. Providing guidance for the branch’s operations is Area Marketing Manager, Wilfredo “Bong” L. Sayson.

For its export-quality sweet-juicy carabao mango, Digos is referred to as the “Mango Capital City of the Philippines.”

Almost 5,000 tricycles serve as transportation for the city and its vicinities. The tricycles are called “pedicabs.”

Single motorcycles also abound in the city serving as transports. These are called locally as “habal-habal” or “skylab.”
